Our Story
Dioji was born from the love of dogs
Traditional caged boarding kennels, lackluster indoor-only warehouse daycares and infrequent visits from dog walkers and pet sitters were not good matches for Kirby, our boisterous yellow Lab and Bailey the water-loving Newfy. We envisioned a state-of-the art facility where each dog could truly enjoy a vacation of their own, and their families would have the peace of mind that their furry family members were in the best of care, with attentive dog-lovers catering to their needs 24 hours a day. With that in mind, we set out to create Dioji, all from a dog’s perspective. Of course Kirby and Bailey were in charge of approving every aspect from start to finish which is why every Dioji facility has over 10,000 sq ft of indoor/ outdoor play space to enjoy the California weather, lots of room to run and play, and of course a giant pool for splashing and swimming!
We opened our doors in Goleta, CA in August 2007, and have since grown to a team of over 180 dog lovers catering to the needs of our four-legged customers at multiple locations throughout the California Coast. We are proud and grateful for the dozens of awards we have received for our teams outstanding customer service and genuine care for our guests.
