He is greeted by the staff by name and is aways willing to head back for fun! I have spied on him a couple of times while playing and the staff is so loving and caring. I know he is in great hands. When I pick him up they always tell me who he played with for the day and how much of his lunch he ate, or did not eat. They are professional, kind and loving to all dogs and their owners. I am a first time dog owner and have a few questions from time to time which they are happy to answer. The best part is how tired he is when I pick him up. its the only time he's not crazy excited to see me. well he is excited its just that he's so tired from all the fun he had. He is thrilled to be there and runs in to the office. I work from home and I love the idea that Hayden can be with friends a few days a week. He comes home happy and tired. A huge perk is that you don't need reservations and can drop off any day at any time. That has been a great asset to me for spontaneous changes in my coaching client schedule.The staff are consistent and good at answering any questions and encourage check ins during the day. There are people in with the dogs at all times and they have a good walkie talkie system.One day I talked to one of the staff more in depth; she is a college student and ended up working at Dioji as an experiment. However now she loves it in part because "The owners are really nice people". That kind of good management trickles down into the water bowls.One other point to note: Last week I was picking up my dog, and heard the staff talking to a pet owner stating that they didn't think their dog was a good match for Dioji at this time. They do vet (pun intended) the dogs that come in and that was infinitely reassuring. They are a completely a cage free environment for well adjusted, nice dogs that play well with other dogs. Their staff is friendly and know about all the products they sell. The products they sell such as dog food people probably think is too expensive but in the long run it's not. When you feed your dog, dog food that's made with a high percentage of fillers you feed more volume so your dog gets the nutritional benefits your dog needs. The food Dioji sells has literally no fillers so you feed less and you clean up less poop. Dioji staff can recommend products that will work well for you dog. If you live in Santa Barbara Dioji is the place you can trust for your fur babies. House dog sitters, walkers and other type of people trying to get in this industry is not where you should go. These places do not have insurance and who knows what type of services your dog really gets? Because these places are not regulated like Dioji is. I know this first hand because I own a cage free facility myself. Take your fur babies to professionals where they can have fun, there treated well.
