Dioji has developed a comprehensive training program to establish a happy, healthy, lasting relationship between your family and your furry pal. The 6-week Puppy School course begins by establishing a base for success. You will learn to see the world through your dog’s eyes, discover what motivates your dog’s behavior and gain the tools to establish yourself as a benevolent pack leader. With this framework in place, the trainers will teach you how to use this knowledge to bring out your dog’s positive behaviors and eliminate the negative ones. Hands-on training will cover the following:
- Obedience commands and manners – such as sit, stay, off, come, drop, etc.
- Eliminating negative behaviors – such as mouthing, jumping, indoor marking, etc.
- Walking gently on a leash
- Off-leash recall
- House breaking / crate training
- Proper socialization - why it is imperative
- Basic care and handling
- Proper coat maintenance and hygiene – to be demonstrated by our professional groomer
- Fulfilling basic needs
- Advanced topics, time permitting

Free Puppy Daycare
2 free days of puppy daycare at the Dioji K-9 Resort & Athletic Club are included to support the imperative socialization of young dogs in a safe, controlled environment.
Continuing Education
Puppy School students qualify for our Continuing Education program. During any given day of daycare, for an additional $10 our trained staff will spend 20 minutes of individual time with your pup reinforcing the commands and manners learned in class. You may specify the elements that need the most practice.

All courses are taught by Dioji’s outstanding team of professional trainers, well versed in animal care, behavior, motivation and development. In addition to managing daycare at the Dioji Athletic Club, our trainers have amassed hundreds of hours of canine training experience.
